{"id":5877,"date":"2022-04-26T09:27:12","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T09:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/m.fundacionosopardo.org\/apoyo\/principado-de-asturias\/"},"modified":"2025-02-20T15:50:57","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T15:50:57","slug":"principado-de-asturias","status":"publish","type":"apoyo","link":"https:\/\/m.fundacionosopardo.org\/en\/apoyo\/principado-de-asturias\/","title":{"rendered":"Government of the Principality of Asturias"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asturias.es\/ast\/consejeria?p_p_id=com_liferay_asset_categories_navigation_web_portlet_AssetCategoriesNavigationPortlet&amp;p_p_lifecycle=0&amp;categoryId=686187&amp;articleId=2523238&amp;title=Consejer%C3%ADa%20de%20Medio%20Rural%20y%20Cohesi%C3%B3n%20Territorial&amp;redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.asturias.es%2Fconsejerias%3Fp_p_id%3Dcom_liferay_asset_publisher_web_portlet_AssetPublisherPortlet_INSTANCE_LVC2FYxeF9eJ%26p_p_lifecycle%3D0%26p_p_state%3Dnormal%26p_p_mode%3Dview\"><strong>Department of Rural Environment and Territorial Cohesion of the Principality of Asturias <\/strong><\/a>and the Brown Bear Foundation (FOP) collaborate on an ongoing basis through a framework agreement whose objective is the conservation of the Cantabrian brown bear and its habitat in the Principality of Asturias.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ministry provides financial support to the FOP in its monitoring of the species and in the awareness-raising actions carried out at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacionosopardo.org\/casasdeloso\/\"><strong>\u201cSomiedo and the Bear\u201d Interpretation Centre<\/strong><\/a>, located in the town of Pola de Somiedo, within the Natural Park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionosopardo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Casa_somiedo_baja.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"307\"><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Exterior y entrada del Centro de Interpretaci\u00f3n \u00abSomiedo y el Oso\u00bb en el Parque Natural de Somiedo<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionosopardo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2011-11-05_13.17.12-baja-600x398.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"398\"><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Acciones de sensibilizaci\u00f3n en el Centro de Interpretaci\u00f3n \u00abSomiedo y el Oso\u00bb<\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Also within the objectives of this collaboration framework, the FOP participates in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fundacionosopardo.org\/se-publican-los-primeros-resultados-del-%F0%9D%90%A9%F0%9D%90%AB%F0%9D%90%A8%F0%9D%90%A0%F0%9D%90%AB%F0%9D%90%9A%F0%9D%90%A6%F0%9D%90%9A-%F0%9D%90%9D%F0%9D%90%9E-%F0%9D%90%A6%F0%9D%90%9A%F0%9D%90%AB\/\">\u201c Brown Bear Tagging Program in Asturias 2021-2023 (PMOPPA2023) \u201d<\/a><\/strong>, coordinated by the Principality of Asturias and in which the Joint Institute for Biodiversity Research (CSIC-University of Oviedo-Principality of Asturias) and the Bear Foundation of Asturias also participate.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionosopardo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/2022_07_16-Marcaje-osa-1-600x401.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\"><\/li>\n<li>Another important line of support from the Principality is its participation in the <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacionosopardo.org\/proyecto-life-osos-con-futuro\/\"><strong>LIFE Bears with a Future<\/strong><\/a> project coordinated by the FOP, which will run until 2025 throughout the species&#8217; distribution area in the Cantabrian Mountains.
